To celebrate the release of Sandra Boynton‘s latest book, Amazing Cows, we’re featuring videos from some of the most creative Boynton-lovers on YouTube!
Today’s video is from a dog lover who uses the song Snuggle Puppy as the soundtrack to a video tribute of her favorite canines.
Meet Sandra Boynton, watch her musical stage show, and see her amazing artwork exhibition, all this Saturday from 12-2 at Books of Wonder (18 West 18th Street, New York, NY)
There are a lot of amazing video tributes to Sandra Boynton’s book and Davy Jones song Your Personal Penguin. Some are choreographed dances, others are sports-themed, but this one imagines a whole Sims-reenacted storyline where a penguin falls in love with a human woman and imagines himself as her tuxedo-clad human beau. That’s creativity!
I know we’re all smitten for kids books over here–there’s even a “Philadelphia Chicken” featured on one of the office’s bathroom doors. But Raquel’s Good Egg post got me thinking…are there others out there on YouTube with their own unique tributes?
In short…yes! Here is one of my favorites–a “re-mixing” of Sandra Boynton’s Snuggle Puppy that’s especially useful if you want to teach your kids beatboxing at an early age! Please excuse the giggly introduction–things get going around the 15 second mark.

An exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Sandra Boynton’s filmmaking debut: One Shoe Blues, starring B.B. King. It’s a song, a book, and a movie all about the search for a missing shoe.
Put a nickel in the jukebox, assuming you can locate a jukebox, and that you remember what a nickel is. Here’s legendary Beach Boy Brian Wilson singing lead and 10-part harmonies on “Speed Turtle.” The incomparable Neil Sedaka crooning “Your Nose.” B. B. King brings you a wistful “One Shoe Blues,” Gerry and the Pacemakers offer “Mersey Lullaby,” and relative newcomer (in this seasoned company) Patti LuPone of “Evita” fame sings—what else—the “Rabbit Tango.” And then there’s the hit single from Boynton’s Your Personal Penguin sung by the impossibly cute Davy Jones of The Monkees. I mean jeepers, even Sha Na Na is here.
