There’s a revolution going on in the beer world: people are becoming interested in great food to pair with great beer. Award-winning journalist John Holl captures the best of the brewery and brewpub menus in his book,The American Craft Beer Cookbook. Having visited more than 1,200 breweries and brewpubs in the United States and around the world, John has met the people behind the beer, profiled his favorites, and included itineraries for the best road trips to great beer cities such as San Diego, Denver, Boston, and Milwaukee.

Currently, John is the senior editor of Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine and co-host of the Steal This Beer podcast.

He is also the author of Dishing Up New Jersey, a cookbook that celebrates the food from the Great Garden State. Food fresh from the farm, shore, and cities, it’s a collection of recipes designed to bring people together and celebrate heritage and location.

John regularly appears on NBC’S Today weekend edition in New York and has been a guest on American Public Media’s Marketplace and National Public Radio stations in New York, Boston, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Wine Enthusiast.

John regularly lectures on beer and the culture of drinking at libraries, bookstores, colleges, casinos, corporate events, and book festivals. He hosts beer tastings and dinners, and giving cooking demonstrations. He lives in Jersey City, New Jersey, with his wife, daughter, dog, and a seemingly endless supply of beer.
